-The scene opens up to two chairs sitting across from each other. Johnny Bulldog is seen sitting in one of those chairs before reavealing his guest for tonight is none other than Rich Sheath. He walks out onto the stage with a mixed reaction wearing nothing but a banana hammock and the world title around his waist. He sits down across Bulldog with a big smile on his face.-
"Welcome, Mr Sheath! Always good to have a fellow wrestler in the studio. This past week on GWA Tuesday Night Spotlight you became the first openly homosexual World Champion in history, how does that feel?"
"I have to be honest, the GWA is an organization with such a long history. While I feel it's regrettable other champions who may have been gay but needed to hide it aren't being honored today, I sit here proud. It's about time the organization was dragged into the new century."
"I totally agree, sir. But speaking of a long history, some GWA critics are saying you don't fit into the long lineage the championship has behind it. What do you say to them?"
"I would just like to ask those people, what makes a champion? Is it their look? Is it their personal life? Or is it getting results in the ring? I feel like I've had to earn everything I have done so far with the constant harassment of a select set of individuals. To that effect, so what if I don't "stand among the past greats"? Im making history here, paving a road for future generations, not living in the past."
"No disrespect, Mr Sheath, but I think the main problem lies in your ability. Just last week, I faced you and, let's just say I'm glad I wasn't paid by the hour."
-Bulldog laughs to the camera but quickly stops as he realizes the joke doesn't go down well.-
"So, what I'm trying to say is... Er... How did you change your ways so fast?"
-Rich visibly sneers but collects himself with a breath.-
"Let's just say I took notes. Yeah, granted, you beat the life out of me. However, that was also the wake up call I needed. Because what did I do after that? I had a hellacious match with the world champion. And I learned from that too, and gave brewer the type of receipt you gave me
that's why I'm the WORLD champion today."
-Bulldog blushes slightly.-
"You mean, my beating helped you become Champion? I knew I still had it!"
-Bulldog clears his throat as he realizes he has gone way off track.-
"What's next for the Champion then? I'm assuming you have something... Unconventional up your sleeve?"
"To put it rather bluntly, I didn't expect to climb this mountain, this quickly. I came in here to serve the interests of my client, but I didn't know my own latent talents would shine through. What I want to do with this title is twerk on all the haters and let my reign on top serve as a beacon to show you can still be yourself while doing it"
-Rich gets up and twerks on his chair.-
-Bulldog looks disgusted but notices the roar of the audience, so he tries his best to keep composed.-
"Mr Sheath! If you please, I'd like to tend to the matter in hand. This behavior is what made the GWA Critics moan in the first place. You are different to the big, sweaty men, sure, but do you really need to do THAT to be noticed?"
-Rich flops back into his seat.-
"It has nothing to do with being noticed my friend. It has everything to do with expressing myself. Exposing parts of me i want the world to see. I'm committed ot prove i'm what the gwa needed to put out front and center. Otherwise, this whole business is going to die out like blockbuster."
"So what you're saying is GWA should become some kind of contemporary media circus instead of showcasing wrestling's finest?"
"Darling, GWA needs to tackle the important issues. GWA needs to make statements. I'm that personified. This is me, and this is WRESTLING!"
"Mr Sheath, with all due respect, there are plenty of people on that roster who have eccentric statements to make but have NEVER been put on the same platform as you. I, for instance, bring the show to the big international markets and fight for my country and title. Hunter Storms is fighting for some kind of... mental health... thing...You? You were just in the right place at the right time, no?"
"You know, I've been getting that way too much lately. Every wannabe wrestling expert thinks I'm sort of affirmative action case. Well news flash bigots, if you've been paying attention guys like brewer don't give a damn who they offend. I'm sitting here because I have the skills to promote my life. Not because I was handed some kind of shut up package. Even if I was, I'll never shut up, I'll never be the guy in a suit. Unless that suit is full of feathers and bright pink!"
"You can't deny your actions have been somewhat a cry for attention, and that's before I even touch on what you've done to my tag partner! You need to become more than just an activist, Mr Sheath, otherwise your reign will be very short indeed."
"You say cry for attention, I say highlighting a forgotten sect of society. One that the world constantly labels and misrepresents. I do agree with you on one thing. It takes more than a message to be on the top. So don't think I've fallen asleep here, I'm still in the gym twerking on the speedbag waiting for the next guy. And let's not forget, pick your poison isn't that far off..."
"Ah yes, thank you for reminding me. Perhaps you can give us folks a little spoiler for your plans?"
"I'll tell you this, whoever I pick is going to have to play by my rules for once. I'm going to announce here on your program...GWA's First ever....DRAG QUEEN MATCH"
"A... A Drag Queen Match? What's that?"
-Rich smirks.-
"Quite simply two men enter, one leaves in full drag."
"Mr Sheath... Are you implying that to win your championship... One of your foes must partake in something against their wishes?"
"I already said I played by their rules. It's time for everyone to play by mine. Otherwise, they can wait till the next guy, whenever that is."
"Well, Mr Sheath, I wish you the very... Best of... Er... Luck. Whatever that abomination of a match is, be sure to catch it LIVE in two weeks on the GWA Network for Pick Your Poison! I wish I could say it has been a pleasure..."
-Rich again throws over the chair and twerks as we cut off the air.-
